Jay received a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. During graduate school, Jay interned at Jumping Mouse Children's Center in Port Townsend, Washington where he provided play therapy services to children and counseling services to their families.  At this time, he also began work as a mentor for an at-risk youth in the community through the Success Mentoring Program at Youth Eastside Services (Y.E.S.) in Bellevue.  Ten years later, Jay is proud to say that he is still good friends with this young man!  In 2010, Jay was hired by Sound Mental Health (SMH), the largest mental health agency in Washington State.  From the Bellevue office, he worked as a Wraparound Facilitator and engaged with at-risk youth and families in the community to advocate for their needs and support their growth.  This position allowed Jay to develop his skills in collaborating with school districts, mental health professionals, Juvenile Justice, and the Department of Developmental Disabilities.  Shortly after he was hired, Jay was promoted to the position of Child and Family Counselor at SMH and began providing psychotherapy and case management services to low income youth and families.  In 2012, Jay earned his LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor) License from the state of Washington.

In Memoriam

Blossom Family Wellness is a dedication to Christine's late father, Richard Kaiser, whose struggle with rheumatoid arthritis introduced her to the wonders of Chinese medicine. Richard always believed in Christine and Jay and their desire to help others.  When she was a young girl, he nicknamed Christine, "Blossom", which has inspired the name of this family practice.
